Sunday school

Today's Relief Society lesson was on Chastity.

What to say about that then?
Well Mormons are quite strict about being chaste and modest.

Here are the rules;
Sexual relations are to be had in the bounds of legal marriage
between a husband and a wife.
They obviously are legally married to each other.
What does this mean?
Basically no sex outside of being married
none before, afterwards* or on the side**.

But to make it even more complex,
chastity as a subject leads on to conversations about modesty.
It's a safer topic.

There was lots of talk about this amongst my Sisters in class.
Those with teenage daughters
(some of whom were there)
talked about choosing your battles
but we all pretty much agreed that having respect for yourself
and dressing to celebrate your femininity is important
As Pansy*** put it
"Your dresses should be tight enough so you feel like a women,
but loose enough you feel like a lady."

Coincidentally Cjane happened to post a vlog about this very thing
the modesty thing not the chastity thing
though she could and being pregnant it could go over quite well.
I wonder if she can do it without laughing?

Here's Cjane's explanation.

LATER: It got removed!  Never mind.

* By afterwards I mean if you are widowed but let's be honest divorce happens.  Did anyone else learn to spell divorce from a country song?
** Just to be really clear - Mormons do not practice polygamy that's the Fundamental Latter-day Saints not us.

It's summer but

not here.

I now no longer believe in summer at all.

The old timers round here are all saying we are in for a long winter.

So after a few calls to Robbie from the pub about getting some wood and he turned up today with a cord of wood and then another. Maybe too many phone calls?

And we stacked and stacked and stacked wood..

until we finished. And that should last us through the winter.. that will officially start in 5 months although it feels like it started last week.

Good thing we don't park cars in there...

Raspberries

One of God's greatest gifts to this world are raspberries and I have a huge raspberry bush out back of the garage that is humming with bees and growing yummy berries.

This is about as good as it gets...

Even better those are two different days worth of raspberries!

This is our Pansy eating berries and chocolate ice cream - she wants you to know that her teeth are perfect and she is not a snaggletooth.

I love summer, actually I think I love waiting for summer even more - nah, that can't be right.

I just love summer so much!
