New Year's resolution

I read somewhere that the third week in January is the busiest week of the year at Weight Watchers or gyms as people's lives settle back to normal and they start their New Year's resolutions.

I'm a bit late.

Last night I set my alarm for 6am
so I could get up early....
that's as far as I had thought really.
So this morning at 6am
I woke up to a wind storm - it's pretty dry here,
we get our water from under the ground not a top so no rain for us.

I woke up and leapt from my bed,
in a roll out of bed kind of way,
would hate to get cramp from any sudden movement.
after I hit the 10 minute snooze of course.
I'm just not that committed.
I did what I had to then back to bed
to sit up and read the Book of Mormon,
just a chapter at a time,
I am committed but have learned that a chapter at a time is about all I can take in
any given morning.

I, then came down the lounge to do a yoga DVD
which lasted 3 minutes
but I can feel my lower tummy muscles a bit now
so I'll do six minutes tomorrow
and nine the next.
Before you know it I'll be doing 15 minutes of yoga everyday
and be all bendy like that Madonna.
Gotta have a goal.

  1. I just bought a book called 6 minute morning flat stomach. My stomach along with my chin has taken on a life of its own recently. Buying the book is a good 1st step.....right?
