is organise Big Wig Day.
It's a day when we bring ag industry leaders
or business leaders or political leaders
together with our younger leaders
and they talk leadership,
and sometimes other random things.
Recently we had Roger Kerr
from the Business Roundtable
come and discuss strategy.
One of the things he talked about
was the political influence of individual voices
and how he believed in individual advocacy
and I have to say, so do I.
So here is an example of a group of small voices
speaking up to make a difference
as a result of Jamie Oliver's campaign on school lunches*.
Take a look at Canadian MooTV
I think Mrs Swelander may be a bit of a Jamie Oliver fan
of which I am not
but yay for both of them for making a difference
and yay for Mrs Swelander
for teaching her students that they have voices
they can exercise and make a difference!
* A completely redundant programme to show in NZ cause we don't feed our kids at school, that's what parents are for.
