Marooned

at home this morning,

cut adrift from going to work
but not from working.

Tomorrow is the start of the
World Young Shepherd Challenge.

Yes hard on the heels of
THE RUGBY WORLD CUP
is the world cup of shepherds.
That can be in lower case
because we own the trademark and logos
and probably won't get too upset if you use them in relation to our event
however should you decide to organise your own
young shepherd oriented type event with teams from around the world
I suggest you come up with your own name.

Please note: Americans, a world event is
one where there more than one country participating
unlike baseball's world series.

Anyway I was meant to go down to Oamaru
tomorrow at the crack of dawn
which I quite like cause it would be just be me and the trucks on the road
but I need to pick up Bevan
from the airport so
I'm at home,
 a little disorganised
by that I mean I have lots of jeans packed and no tops,
I'm still in my jamas needing a shower
and for some reason my wireless internet is not working.

But I'll get it together,
I always do.

Next couple of days are going to be awesome.
It's Rozzy's swan song as Contest Manager,
Hills takes over on the 15th,
(I don't actually know Hills
other than by reputation but she will be a welcome asset to NZYF
as she has been President back in the day...
not really that far back only about 10 years ago
and I suspect she shares my healthy attitude towards unions.)

We have 11 teams from around the world,
an excess of Argentines teams for some reason,
maybe they travel in packs.

I'll take lots of photos so you can enjoy the fun and games.
Turns out we will be at Totara Park only one afternoon,
the afternoon I have to leave earlyish to take Bevan back to the airport.
Actually I think my whole responsibility is to drive Bevan around!

Home on Wednesday
and back to Oamaru on Friday
for a black tie dinner.

The thing that will preoccupy for the next couple of days will be
should I wear the little black dress with the belt
or the one without.... hmmmm????
