ages

ages ago, it seems I was in Auckland and one of the things that I got to do was an
Auckland Harbour Bridge walk.
This was the weather...

A bit moist

To be fair it was mostly the run off water from the bridge. There were waterfalls cascading from the deck of the bridge. At one stage we all stopped to have a wee history chat about the bridge and I was directly under a waterfall.

I didn't mind too much cause our wet weather gear was basically the kind that the fishermen on the Bearing Strait wear except not the subzero stuff. We were soaked through when we ambled back to the city side shore. The Aucklanders had me laughing when they kept apologising for the terrible winter weather - it was 16 degrees. That's summer where I live.

One very cool thing was meeting Spud's sister - never would have guessed they were related for so many reasons. Mostly cause Spudly is a ginga and his sister isn't. Spud's sister and I sat on the bus in our soaking jeans chatting about why Spud is single. She had no answers and I don't either but if you are keen on a relatively silent, emotional distant (don't confuse this with unemotional), smart, funny, quite nicely built bloke let me know.
