traumatic this week
Spent a night and a day in Fielding.
I learnt that Fielding is the correct way of spelling Fielding while there and didn't get killed but was harmed by a lamb chop.
Had a very pleasant visit with Gary, Heidi and kidlets.
Very well behaved, polite wee beggars them kids. My room (very nicely decorated) was next to the bathroom with a connecting door and in the morning while at his ablutions, four year old Blake belched very loudly, pardoned himself and cracked up.
I, however have had a rough five days.
Last Friday we had a second celebration lunch at the Blue. Rozzy and I shared a pizza, within an hour I was not well - connect the dots - I have food poisoning. Turns out not so. After five days of no food and wicked stomach cramps et al but I worked through it (I'm such a trojan).
I went to the doctor today.
I have yet to go to my local doctors and have the same doctor. I always get a locum which is great cause it's fresh eyes everytime.
This one is French - if he is an example of French doctors I am both happy and concerned.
I came home with every concievable pill for stomach flu plus two kinds of pain killers and, and! a medical certificate for a week just in case I need it.
A medical certificate for a week when I must be near the end of this virus!
Least I hope I am...maybe he knows that this is an epic stomach flu...maybe I need to have sick leave until the 6th?
What the hell?
NZers don't take a week off for stomach flu when they have had it for a week already.
Do you think stomach cramps work the same way as sit ups?
