My dad is a super king blood donor
and he was repaid by the clinic telling him he had a nonspecific blood disease.
That's a good thing.
But today was a surprise blood donor day
I really need to pay attention when I walk around Methven,
not a big place but the mountains are so pretty that I get distracted easily.
Luckily Lucky knew and had booked herself in.
It was her first time and she took ages.
I, the old hand that I am, rocked up at 1pm and was done by 20 past.
I'm so proud of my ability to bleed fast.
I had a male nurse named Ashley
His name may negate his degree of masculinity.
I have to say he must being feeling it because he was boringly rude.
He was very off hand and took his sweet time to get the job done.
He was kind of hot in an unfriendly way.
He had very good veins I noticed, that may be a requirement of the job.
Lucky, bless her was finished by the time I arrived and after a wee chat
and watching the needle go in, she went on to the highlight of the blood letting,
the biscuit room.
She returned just as I was finished, the needle was about to be removed and
Ashley the unfriendly nurse told her leave.
Just rude I think.
He did explained that he had let first timers watch the needle be removed before and they had fainted. I did tell him that Lucky had probably injected more live creatures than he but she was gone and I had to walk back to work all alone.
