help needed please

So Sarah, star of yesterday's post and all round good, keen woman needs a hand.

Sarah has set up a wee Angus cattle stud,
that's when you know your cattles and
choose to mate your fine gened cows with good looking bulls
and have gorgeous babies.
Then you take a babies and sell them to other people so they can make their own gorgeous babies
and ultimately all the gorgeous babies grow up and become burgers and steaks
that are gorgeous.

Ah, the cycle of life.

Farm people put quite a bit of thought into this kind of thing.
Seriously you can buy catalogues all about buying semen
and they (being babies) come in straws
and a nice person comes along and AIs the mamas.
Valuable animals don't have sex anymore.
(was going to say something completely inappropriate there - lucky dodge)

Anyway back to Sarah
She, the smart cookie that she is, has entered

What she needs is help to get her dream of a reputable Angus cattle stud going.
Contrary to popular belief,
it's hard for young people to get into owning their own herds or farms these days.
When we were interviewing for Young Farmers field officers
this one candidate was adamant that young farmers inherited their farms - not so.
They have to earn, save, beg, borrow and
sometimes lease their souls to get in a position of purchasing herds or land.
It's hard and even harder for a young woman with goals.

The Toyota: Believe scholarship will give Sarah the funding to buy more Angus cattles
and grow lots of big eared Archie babies.
This is Archie and his mama below,
they are the one third of the first step towards Sarah's dream of being a cattle baroness.

So please go ahead and vote for Sarah and her dream.

I think Amy calf is batting her eyelashes at you.....
thanks for voting for Sarah.

Oh, one of the reasons Sarah competes in the Young Farmer Contest
is because when she makes it to the Grand Final
and she will,
she could win the title and that will pretty much bring her goals forward by about 10 years
and give her a decent nest egg.
The National Bank Young Farmer Contest is a life changing event - sure can!
Sorry was channeling Rolf Harris doing his Trust British Paints, sure can! ads on TV from way back.
