Last Thursday I went to a very posh gala dinner at the Langham Hotel in Auckland.
It was decorated beautifully, the lighting was brilliant (not bright, really good) and the table centre pieces were elaborate and huge and some of them, not ours, were fake. The waiters told you off if you touched them to see.
The theme was A Great Dinner in the Great Room.
It was the poshest dinner I've been to in a long time.
Until we had the entree.....
Nope that is not a worm, though it sure does look like it.I had to check the other guests plates to see if it was meant to be like that.
Turns out it was.
